The on-chain RWA market has increased by about 9% in the last month, with a total value surpassing 30 billion USD. I don't know how you feel about this data, but I was somewhat shocked to see it. Government bonds, credit, commodities, and even private equity have all been brought on-chain. In the past, if you wanted to buy stocks or bonds, you had to first sell your cryptocurrency for fiat currency. Now, you can directly use BTC or stablecoins to transfer to government bonds or stocks on-chain, and you can also self-custody the assets. This means that DeFi is no longer just a concept but has new cash flows, such as government bond interest and on-chain credit, which can provide substantial income for DeFi and L1/L2. Another key point: collateral. Aave's Horizon allows users to deposit tokenized assets like the S&P 500 and then use them for lending. The total locked value is still small at 114 million USD and is still in the early stages. Overall, I believe there are many opportunities in RWA, and the future looks promising. Let's review some of the coins related to RWA currently on the market: Ondo (ONDO): Has a Wall Street background, mainly focusing on on-chain government bond yields, bringing real-world interest rate assets on-chain. Centrifuge (CFG): An established RWA project, primarily focused on tokenizing receivables and real assets from small and medium-sized enterprises, closely tied to real-world businesses. Goldfinch (GFI): Focuses on unsecured credit, especially lending funds to emerging markets. Plume: An emerging project, an L2 dedicated to RWA, allowing trading of government bonds, credit, and commodities on its chain. MakerDAO (MKR): An established project that invests some funds in U.S. government bonds, with a particularly low supply (1 million tokens), allowing holders to participate in MakerDAO governance. Since I am optimistic, I invested real money; I bought a bit of Ondo and Plume spot, and both are currently at a loss.
