When @KaitoAI's Launchpad just went live in July, I each deposited 1000u into the first two new projects @theoriq and @EspressoSys.
As a result, after pledging, only @TheoriqAI did I go back for a second confirmation on time, while I did not do the second confirmation for @EspressoSys, thinking I would get a refund. Later I found out that without a second confirmation, the 1000u would be confiscated.
I inquired with colleagues at @KaitoAI; it was indeed my first time participating in Kaito's new projects, and I was unfamiliar with the steps and rules of the new projects, which is why I missed the second confirmation deadline for the Espresso project.
Fortunately, Kaito's colleague @MaraCakeHotSale was very responsible and helped several retail investors who also forgot to confirm on time to communicate with the Espresso project team, requesting another chance and not to confiscate those new project funds that were pledged without a second confirmation.
The screenshot is the Docusign document sent by Espresso's lawyer last week. Once signed, the 1000u that was originally going to be confiscated will be counted as part of the new project funds.
There is still no news on @EspressoSys TGE, but from this whole process, it certainly does not seem like a makeshift project: the market is in place, the business is in place, and the lawyers are in place, all quite considerate.
Cheers to both @EspressoSys and @KaitoAI, looking forward to Espresso's TGE.
