Interacting with Solana from ICP
Bitcoin, Ethereum, and now Solana: Smart contracts (also known as 'containers') on the Internet Computer can interact with these three major blockchains in a completely decentralized manner, allowing developers to create unique multi-chain decentralized applications (dapps), making it no longer a dream to fully exchange SOL on-chain for BTC.
This is achieved by adding two new features to the Internet Computer, which together accomplish the Helium milestone of the ICP roadmap, thus tightening the link between Solana and ICP:

Caffeine is a new platform related to vibe coding that was first showcased at the WCS in Zurich on June 3rd and is currently planned to be released at the "Hello, Self-Writing Internet" event in San Francisco on July 15th.
Now, most developers at least "vibe code" at some point and collaborate with AI integrated into their tools.

Caffeine pioneers a related paradigm of creating, updating, and managing "self-written" applications end-to-end through natural language conversations with artificial intelligence, without any technical input. The platform is accessible via desktop or mobile web browsers.

The 2025 World Computer Hacker League (WCHL) is a global hackathon led by the ICP HUBS Network, aimed at discovering, nurturing, and showcasing top developer talent in the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) ecosystem. Over the next four months, this initiative will drive innovation, expand the developer community, and support impactful applications.
From July to October 2025, the global hackathon will ignite developers' innovative passion and help create the next generation of decentralized applications.

What are Ordinox and friends doing on the ICP Chain Fusion?

This paper investigates the Autonomous Rate Manager (ARM), a system built on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) designed to automate Liquity V2 loan rate management.
Liquity V2 is a decentralized protocol running on the Ethereum mainnet that allows users to borrow its stablecoin BOLD against collateral assets (including ETH, wstETH, and rETH). A key innovation of the protocol is allowing borrowers to set and adjust interest rates themselves.
The problem is that borrowers with interest rates below other borrowers face higher redemption risks. Simply put, this mechanism allows any BOLD holder to redeem it through the protocol for a combination of ETH worth $1 and liquid staking tokens (minus fees), and the system will deduct this amount from the collateral of borrowers who set the minimum interest rate.

Zero-knowledge machine learning (zkML) is the combination of cryptographic magic and artificial intelligence. Imagine proving that a machine learning model produced a specific result without revealing model inputs, internal workings, or outcomes. That's the vision of zkML - and there are already various cutting-edge methods competing to make it a reality.
In this article, we will delve into three leading zkML paradigms - JOLT (modified for machine learning operations and with precompiled features: JOLTx), EZKL (based on Halo2), and DeepProve (based on GKR), compare how they work and their performance, and explain why JOLT's lookup-centric approach is set to reverberate throughout the industry like a snowball in a taxi.

When it comes to ICP (Internet Computer), you may first think of the price manipulation incident when it was first launched. This incident was later considered to be a fearful reaction of some crypto forces to the threat of its technology: ICP's core technology has disruptive potential (which was well known before its launch) and may shake the status of existing blockchain projects, which allowed some interested parties to suppress it through price manipulation.
However, more than three years later, ICP has not collapsed as many people thought, but has shown a thriving ecosystem. In fact, ICP's TPS (transactions per second) is still far beyond the reach of other public chains. As can be seen from the figure below, its real-time TPS is 6 times that of Solana.

The ICP Chain Fusion Hackathon: Bitcoin Edition has concluded and we are pleased to announce the winners. This four-week hackathon challenged participants to combine Bitcoin and Internet Computer technologies to produce some truly innovative projects.
