“The mental error that is draining accounts today in the midst of a downward trend”

There is a psychological pattern that repeats in most novice investors… and, surprisingly, also in traders who have been operating for years but have never been truly profitable.

When the market enters a downward trend, like the one we are seeing right now, it is normal for bullish retracements to appear.
This is part of the natural price movement: the market breathes, retraces, and then continues in its main direction.

But here occurs the mental trap that destroys accounts:

When an asset falls sharply and then makes a bullish retracement, most interpret that retracement as the “beginning of the recovery.”
They assume that “it has already fallen too much”
or that “now it will go up because it is cheap.”

That famous phrase “buy cheap and sell high” becomes a weapon against the trader themselves when used without understanding the real direction of the market.

The market does not go up because it is cheap.
It goes up when the trend changes.
And as long as the trend remains bearish, the price can “breathe upwards” just to continue falling afterwards… and that is exactly what is happening today.

The trader who buys those retracements thinking they found “the bottom” is not trading…
they are guessing.
And in Futures, guessing = liquidation.

The rule is simple and almost nobody applies it:
👉 In a downward trend, bullish retracements are not buying opportunities… they are market traps.
👉 If you trade upwards against the trend, you are trading against your own account.

Many are not losing due to a lack of signals.
They are losing because they do not understand how the market thinks.
