Platform X experiences a large-scale cyber attack, is it a 'display of force' by hacker organizations or complex political motives?
On Monday, users worldwide experienced a massive outage of platform X, preventing many from using it normally, with error messages constantly popping up on their screens. According to Downdetector, complaints about platform X soared to 40,000 at one point, and the service disruption lasted for several hours.
A hacker organization called 'Dark Storm' stepped forward to 'claim' this attack. It is said that this organization has connections to Russia, and they claimed they would cripple platform X, which they actually did!
Is the hacker organization coming to light?
Cybersecurity company SpyoSecure claimed that the leader of Dark Storm posted on Telegram announcing this attack and boasted about taking X offline; however, the organization's Telegram channel was shut down for violating platform policies. Nevertheless, screenshots of the evidence of the attack are still circulating online.
