What is Vaulta ($A)?
Vaulta ($A) is the rebranded token of the EOS network, introduced in May 2025 as part of its transition to a Web3 banking-focused blockchain.
Vaulta is a blockchain-based network designed to support decentralized financial services. It functions as a Web3 banking infrastructure, offering features such as fast transaction finality, Bitcoin-native integration, on-chain programmable storage, and cross-chain liquidity. The platform is structured to enable the development and deployment of financial applications across a decentralized ecosystem.
The Vaulta project supposedly focuses on financial applications rather than general-purpose computing. It supports smart contracts through the Vaulta EVM Framework and NativeVM, which allow development in Solidity and C++. The platform runs on a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, enhanced by the Savanna protocol that confirms transactions within one second using BLS quorum certificates. Core protocol features include multisignature support, sub-accounts, and threshold approvals. RAM-based on-chain storage provides abstracted and persistent data handling capabilities. The network includes the exSat layer for native Bitcoin staking and programmable yield strategies.
The $A token is the native utility asset of the Vaulta ecosystem. It is used for staking, earning rewards, voting on governance proposals, accessing system resources, covering transaction fees, and participating in decentralized financial operations. The token is integral to the functioning of smart contracts, asset tokenization, and cross-chain tools available within the network.
EOS rebrands to Vaulta
Vaulta was initially launched as EOS in 2018. In 2025, it rebranded to Vaulta to align with its focus on Web3 banking. Notable developments include the introduction of the Vaulta EVM Framework, the implementation of the Bitcoin-compatible exSat layer, and the Spring 1.0 upgrade that brought in the Savanna consensus protocol.
Vaulta operates on NativeVM, a WebAssembly engine designed for low-latency, deterministic execution. It is built on the Spring implementation of the Antelope Protocol and supports both Solidity and C++ development. The protocol includes a built-in indexing API, cross-chain capabilities through IBC, and a native Bitcoin finance layer. These features enable its use in decentralized finance, asset tokenization, and programmable financial applications.
Vaulta ($A) has a total supply of 2.1 billion tokens, with approximately 1.56 billion currently in circulation. $A is listed on Binance for trade and purchase. The current price of $A is available and updated in real-time on Binance.
