According to Foresight News, South Korea and the European Union (EU) convened the seventh Cyber Policy Council to address cooperation in the cybersecurity sector. The discussions focused on tackling escalating cyber threats, including cryptocurrency thefts attributed to North Korea.
Both parties acknowledged the transnational nature of cybercrime and emphasized the necessity for international investigative collaboration, which includes rapid information sharing. They also expressed support for enhancing the cybersecurity capabilities of countries in the region.
