The Team Behind Story
Story is the only Layer 1 blockchain to raise three consecutive funding rounds led by a16z Crypto. To date, the project has raised over $140 million, underscoring strong institutional backing and belief in the vision of a decentralized, programmable IP economy.
Story was founded by SY Lee and Jason Zhao, seasoned entrepreneurs with extensive experience in AI, media, and intellectual property.
SY Lee is a serial entrepreneur with a strong track record in media and blockchain ventures. He founded Radish, a serialized fiction platform that he successfully sold to Kakao for $440 million. His experience in digital storytelling and his work in blockchain innovation position him uniquely to lead IP's transformation in the era of AI.
Jason Zhao is the Chief Protocol Officer and Co-founder of Story. Before founding Story, he was a Product Manager at DeepMind, where he focused on productionizing Google’s cutting-edge AI models across industrial and enterprise applications. He is also an active angel investor in frontier technology startups.
