Portfolio down 3% from ath's. I Gave back some gains the last week trying to push risk.
I definitely overtraded but think it was worth the risk. In my mind I thought we would have a repeat of 2024 Mar-April. At this point in time this is incorrect.
At the moment I'm just sitting and watching, I don't really know what to do here since closing my positions 2 days ago and I don't want to rush back in at these levels where BTC is at the top of the range and alts are struggling to keep up.
On a good streak at the moment, I haven't had a losing month since July last year. And alot of what has saved me is consistently taking profits out of crypto and into other investments.
After a really solid period in the market giving back some of the profit is pretty standard. You adapted to trading a certain way and then all of a sudden that ‘certain way’ changes
Its like a car slowly down, inertia will be in effect for a while longer under it comes to a stop
Trading is similar. Don’t beat yourself up over giving back some of the gains after an amazing hot streak
Just be self aware enough to put an end to it as soon as possible
For me, taking profits to the bank after winning big helps tremendously
I don’t understand people who can just take time off to go on vacation and not even look at the market in days.
If you want to be the best you need to act like the best. You need to have your finger on the pulse perpetually and stay up to date with what’s going on every single day
And people wonder why they lose their edge or fail to capitalise on the few incredible trading windows that we’ve had.
You are going to get left behind and start giving money to those who are putting in the work and staying focused no matter what
‘Sometimes’ doesn’t really cut it in crypto. It’s an all or nothing career path
