U.S. Core PCE rose 0.2% in August, perfectly matching expectations. Annual growth held steady at 2.9%, showing inflation remains sticky but not worsening. Consumer spending, meanwhile, jumped 0.4% — a sign that demand in the U.S. economy is still healthy.
Markets reacted fast. Gold printed fresh all-time highs, while silver exploded to $46, its strongest level since 2011. Peter Schiff reminded investors that silver has outperformed Bitcoin since his last remarks, even urging traders to rotate from $BTC into silver.
Crypto joined the party. ETH surged to $4,036, marking a 4.55% daily gain. Bitcoin reclaimed $110K. BNB bounced from a $932 dip back above $963, holding strong. Solana also powered back to $200, showing that majors across the board are alive. On-chain, whales made noise too. An Ethereum wallet dormant since 2017 transferred 200,000 ETH ($785M) into new addresses, while still holding 736,316 $ETH ($2.89B). This has stirred debate on whether big players are preparing to unload or re-position ahead of volatility.
The U.S. dollar index (DXY) is adding heat. Ted Pillows noted the dollar has bounced hard since the Fed cut rates, with the next resistance sitting near 100. If that level is reclaimed, risk-on assets like stocks and crypto could face headwinds. Yet, despite the dollar’s strength, stocks, metals, and digital assets are all pushing higher at the same time — a rare market alignment.
The setups are flashing loud. Inflation is stable, consumer spending is strong, whales are active, and the dollar is bouncing. This is where patience meets opportunity.
I had closed all my positions first to watch how things are, and now I have clarity — I’m going back to my positions. The aim stays the same: sell high, buy low, and no rush here. I am going to watch for a break above $968 for $BNB to flip bullish and failure to which i flip bearish.
