The US Securities and Exchange Commission and Binance have filed a joint stipulation seeking to dismiss the securities regulator’s action against the crypto exchange, filings show.
The dismissal specifically relates to the civil enforcement action brought against Binance Holdings, BAM Trading Services, BAM Management US Holdings and Binance’s former CEO, Changpeng Zhao, back in June 2023.
The joint stipulation was agreed and signed by the SEC’s acting director of the Enforcement Division, Samuel J. Waldron, and Binance’s attorney Daniel W. Nelson, among others, the May 29 court filing showed.
This is a developing story, and further information will be added as it becomes available.
