Dear young single Men/ Women Never be a second best in anybody’s story. Never make anyone your second best. If you want to choose a life partner, make sure they are your BEST choice and your first choice as per that season of your life. Do not choose a man or woman you know is not your first choice. Do not settle for a man or woman because the person you had in mind disappointed you. You are doing a disservice to yourself and that person. Once you notice you are a second best to anyone….Take a walk and bang the damn door. You are Amazingly Amazing and there is a man/ woman out there who would lick the ground you walk on…. I consciously took a break from the screen and charts for few days to take a look at my life in general . I wanted to spend time reflecting on my journey at 34 and make plans for myself and what i must achieve before i turn 40. I wanted to reflect on what I have done right and the terrible mistakes that have brought me tears over the years. While on that journey I met and sat with a friend of mine in her early 50’s . she shared with me how she lost her daughter to a yahoo boy who she declined accepting,because her daugher was cohabiting with the guy and she saw him as irresponsible because of his conducts. This yahoo boy went to my friends ex-husband and convinced the man to give her daughter out for marriage and the man agreed…she is just 19. The day of the marriage , he was sleeping with his traditional attire while the marriage was ongoing (my friend was not in attendance, but she saw pictures) She believes the guy does drugs,i believe so too. Her own daughter blocked her on social media…a girl she single handedly gave the best life and trained as an international lawyer… while telling the story , she would lay curse on her and i would beg for her to stop. I sat a while ago with her for breakfast and she cracked me up till i ran to my room. What i cant understand is how she has a large heart to accommodate people, cheer them on, when they are sad. Make the environment lively and fun for even strangers ,yet she carries a deep wound no one sees. Based on her financial status,she is meant to isolate herself , yet , she is down to earth and ever loving. I stopped for a moment to think about myself and started to reflect on her life and the lessons I can pick…she is such a card. Be kind…everyone has a wound.
