In theory a project like @OpenLedger is supposed to work in a very structured way real data usage model inference and agent execution should generate measurable economic activity. The idea is that every time someone uses data or an AI model value is tracked and distributed transparently. On paper, that sounds like a clean and fair system for monetizing AI infrastructure.
But in real markets, especially early stage crypto systems, what usually happens is slightly different. The token often becomes active before the underlying usage economy is fully mature. That means people interact with the coin first trading, holding, speculating while the actual “data → model → agent → payment flow” is still limited or not widely used yet.
From what I’ve seen in similar architectures, there is often a gap between two things:
One is the intended design, where real AI usage generates real revenue flows across participants.
The other is the market reality, where most activity is driven by expectation, narrative, and trading behavior rather than actual infrastructure usage.
So when you say you and your friends tried it, the key distinction (from an analytical point of view) is what kind of “use” happened. In systems like this, real validation comes from whether people are actually building on it calling models, using datasets, deploying agents and whether those actions are generating consistent, traceable economic activity.
If instead the experience was mainly buying, selling, or holding the coin, then you’re observing the financial layer, not the infrastructure layer. And those two layers can behave very differently, especially early on.
One thing I’ve learned from looking at these AI-blockchain systems is that sustainability depends less on the token movement and more on whether developers actually adopt the underlying pipeline. If builders don’t rely on it for real workloads, the system tends to stay in a speculative phase, no matter how strong the concept sounds.
So your experience is actually an important signal but the interpretation depends on what exactly you saw in practice: real AI usage inside the system, or mostly market activity around the token itself.
