According to PANews, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is actively recruiting a team of approximately 50 individuals to form a 'super-intelligent' group focused on achieving general artificial intelligence (AGI). This initiative aims to integrate AGI into Meta's social platforms, AI assistants, and Ray-Ban smart glasses. Zuckerberg has been meeting candidates at his California residence and has reorganized office space at the company's headquarters for the new team.
Zuckerberg plans to invest billions in AI data services company Scale AI, marking Meta's largest external investment to date. The founder of Scale AI is expected to join the team. Due to dissatisfaction with the performance of Llama 4, Zuckerberg has increased his involvement in AI matters, personally reaching out to potential talent through a WhatsApp group named 'Recruiting Party.'
Zuckerberg emphasizes that Meta's robust advertising business can provide the necessary cash flow to support the development of world-class AI infrastructure.
