According to PANews, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced a partnership with Cisco to develop systems that integrate quantum computing technology within the frameworks of 5G and 6G technologies. Despite being in the Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) stage, Huang expressed excitement about the potential applications that can already be utilized.
Nvidia is working on a hybrid quantum-classical GPU computing platform named CUDA-Q. The company is collaborating with several leading firms to envision a future where all supercomputers incorporate quantum accelerators and quantum processing units (QPU), aiming to create a new computing ecosystem.
