According to PANews, Bow Valley Credit Union (BVCU) in Canada has introduced the country's first 'Bitcoin Gateway' service, allowing residents of Alberta to purchase Bitcoin directly through their bank accounts. This service is supported by the Balance custody platform and Bull Bitcoin exchange, enabling users to buy physical Bitcoin with fiat currency via the BVCU app, granting them full ownership. Established in 1953, BVCU continues its tradition of challenging conventional banking with this innovation. Currently, the service is available only to Alberta residents, but Balance's CEO has indicated plans to expand access to users across Canada in the future.
