1. most of the companies I met here already had solid footing, much better than the desperation I felt at Consensus from many of the people I met, especially in gaming.
2. RWAs have such obvious product market fit with event tickets, real estate, loyalty programs, etc. good to see Avax innovating and winning on this front despite it not being in gaming, i think there will be crossover in the future (esports events like what they did with T1 previously)
3. I didn’t see VCs but I also wasn’t looking for them.
4. that said there’s a pretty stark contrast between the companies who i think “are gonna make it” and the projects who aren’t, you know it when you see it.
5. Farcade is getting an amazing response, people love the “tiktok of gaming” angle but the product can be hard to demo, will fix that going forward
6. I’m confident Avax’s investment in these summits will pay off. i’m already convinced i’ll go to the next 10 because these two were so incredible in quality of people and programming. it’s a 20 year strategy.
7. claw machines are the alpha for event entertainment. they consistently have a crazy line at every event I go to.
8. it’s tough to get people excited about games right now. there weren’t many players but that’s to be expected at an event like this.
9. people want to work with people they know and like, for that reason these events have irreplaceable value.
