The Day Bitcoin Faced the Quantum Reckoning Prologue
Friday, September 2, 2033 — 4:00 PM UTC
Bitcoin Price: $1,973,842
The breach didn’t begin with an explosion. It began with a whisper on the blockchain.
At 4:03 PM, a wallet containing 50 BTC mined in February 2009 suddenly moved. It had never moved before. It wasn’t supposed to. Ten minutes later, another legacy wallet drained. Then a third.
By 4:30, Jameson Lopp—now Professor of Cryptography at Harvard—posted one word on X: “Confirmed.” The network shuddered. Something ancient had been touched. And the world’s reserve asset was under attack.
I have fed the list of interested parties to Grok and it has narrowed it to 5 groups. If your name is in the group you have a 4/79 shot of getting a free pass,
Tomorrow morning on Restream, I will ask grok to pick 4 random numbers from 1 to 79 and then we will give these participants a ticket.
If you are interested in the tickets for Bitcoin Vegas just say “interested” below. We will do a raffle instead of a trivia contest later today. Live drawing.
If you are going to Vegas, come have breakfast a week from today.

Note: Bitcoin First (the event) was created mainly by Ben Sigman and me. The name came from Wayne.
Ben and I organized everything, invited everybody, managed the actual production of the event with 10 volunteers. It was intended to be a non-profit community thing not "Wayne's World".
We're not going do anything with the name, but we did, you know, actually do everything here.
