💰METAPLANET’S $633M BITCOIN BET — THE GIANT MOVE SHAKING CRYPTO MARKETS⭐
Japanese listed company Metaplanet has made a bold move in the crypto market, purchasing 5,419 Bitcoin (BTC) worth $633 million on September 22. This acquisition brings the firm’s total holdings to 25,555 BTC, valued at approximately $2.91 billion, making it the fifth-largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally. The average purchase price stood at $116,724 per BTC.
The investment was backed by proceeds from a $1.45 billion international stock issuance financing completed earlier this year. According to Bitcoin Strategy Director Dylan LeClair, the deal represents only the “first batch” of their larger accumulation plan.
With this purchase, Metaplanet has already fulfilled 85.2% of its 2025 goal of holding 30,000 BTC, while also covering a quarter of its 2026 goal of 100,000 BTC. Notably, the company recorded 95.6% BTC yield in Q1 2025 and a 129.4% yield in Q2 2025, showcasing strong performance in its Bitcoin-focused strategy.
