Amnesty International hat zu einer „gründlichen, unabhängigen, unparteiischen und effektiven“ Untersuchung der Tötungen von mindestens 26 Personen während der Proteste aufgerufen, die in Pakistan nach der Tötung von Khamenei ausbrachen.

„Protestierende haben das Recht, sich friedlich zu versammeln und ihren Widerspruch auszudrücken, selbst in Momenten erhöhter Spannungen. In solchen Krisen müssen die Sicherheitskräfte ihr Engagement zum Schutz des Lebens und zur Sicherung friedlicher Versammlungen zeigen“, fügte er hinzu.
