OK so I've been looking at @OpenLedger for a few weeks and I want to share what stuck with me. Most AI tokens lately feel like the same recycled idea, slap "AI" on a token, ship nothing. OpenLedger stands apart in ways worth pointing out. The project calls itself an AI blockchain, but the framing I prefer is simpler. It pays people whose data trains AI models. Right now your posts, your articles, your code, all of it trains big centralized AI models for free. OpenLedger flips the setup. You contribute data to a Datanet, their term for a community owned dataset. Your wallet earns whenever the trained model gets used downstream. The piece doing the real work here is Proof of Attribution. It traces every AI output back to the training data behind it, then routes payments to contributors through smart contracts. For smaller models they use influence function approximations. For larger ones, an Infini gram method. I think this is the first project to solve attribution at the protocol level instead of the company level. A few specifics worth knowing. Mainnet went live November 18, 2025. It runs as an EVM compatible Layer 2 rollup, so any Solidity developer plugs in without rebuilding. The team raised $8M in seed funding from top tier crypto VCs with backing from well known angels in the space. Beyond Datanets, they shipped ModelFactory for no code fine tuning and OpenLoRA for running several models on a single GPU. Live tools, not roadmap slides. Now the OPEN token side. I want to be honest here. The chart hurts. OPEN listed in September 2025, ran hard on Asian exchanges, and got dumped through December, printing an all time low near $0.1539. Recent price hovers around $0.14, down close to 88% from the top. But one detail nobody points to enough. OpenLedger funds OPEN buybacks directly from enterprise revenue. From my experience, this kind of mechanic is rare in AI tokens. Most have no revenue and aggressive emissions. Here you have real cash flow repurchasing supply. The supply side worries me a bit. Investor and team vesting steps up around September 2026 with monthly distributions. So new supply hits the market on a schedule. The trade I'm watching is whether Datanet contributions and on chain inference volume grow fast enough to absorb it. The partnership list tells you where the team sits in the market. A publicly listed Korean gaming firm invested in OPEN in December 2025. A major Web3 wallet integrated OpenLedger for AI driven wallet flows back in August 2025. A verifiable agent project plugged into live DeFi markets in January 2026. An IP rights protocol joined hands to license creative work for AI training with on chain payouts to creators. The team even funded a $5M research program at a top university for transparent blockchain AI systems. Academic backing rarely happens in this space, so this one stood out for me. The latest moves keep the momentum going. OctoClaw, their on chain AI agent for real time workflow automation, is now live. OpenFin, a DeFAI product, got teased on March 23, 2026. The pattern I see is OpenLedger filling the missing piece between AI compute networks, data marketplaces, and agent wrappers built on closed APIs. Their angle is attribution as the connective layer. Data, models, agents, all monetizable on real usage, all logged on chain. In my view, if AI agents start holding wallets and paying each other in the next two years, the settlement layer below them needs provenance built in from day one. OPEN works as gas on the L2 and as the reward token for contributors, so it earns its place in the stack instead of leaning on governance promises. One question I keep asking myself. If your data has been training someone else's AI model for free for the last five years, and a chain finally offers you a share of every inference it powers, what is your honest reason for not contributing to a Datanet this week? $OPEN #OpenLedger @Openledger
