Sellers edged out buyers among large traders in the 24 hours to Oct 11. Big orders sold $2.25B and bought $1.92B, so buys made up 46% of the flow. That is close enough to even to count as a two sided day, with sellers holding a small lead.
Bitcoin drew the most size, about $2.15B across 1,114 large trades, and it also carried the biggest single order at $36.4M. Ether followed with $1.78B across 969 trades. $BTC $ETH
In total, 2,257 large trades went through in the window.
Buyers had more money waiting in the $BTC spot book on Oct 11. Within 2% of the $83.0K mid, resting bids came to $169.8M against $145.6M in asks across 21 venues, a 7.7% tilt toward the bid side.
The largest single bid sat at $83.0K, 0.05% below mid, with $67.1M behind it. The biggest ask wall was also at $83.0K, 0.05% above mid, holding $40.1M.
Over 24 hours, bids within 2% grew 11.4% and asks shrank 4.6%, with the mid up 0.2% from $82.9K. Resting orders can be pulled at any moment, so this is a snapshot of the book, not a forecast.
One dated futures contract settled on Deribit in the 24 hours to Oct 11: an $AVAX contract that closed out at $10.3 at 08:00 UTC. That was the only recorded settlement in the window.
The coming week carries more. 133 dated futures contracts expire in the next 7 days across 11 venues, the first on Oct 12 with a single $BTC contract on Bullish. Deribit lists the bulk of that day, with 13 Bitcoin and 13 $ETH contracts plus one each in AVAX, HYPE and SOL.
Options add 7,040 contracts expiring over the same 7 days.
OKX holds the largest exchange insurance fund on Oct 11 at $3.03B, out of $7.68B across the 10 venues we cover. An insurance fund is the cash an exchange keeps to pay for liquidations that close below the bankruptcy price, so it is the buffer between a bad liquidation and other traders.
The combined total was +0.06% over 24 hours, or +$4.9M, and -0.92% over 7 days. Paradex moved most, at -0.53%, on a fund of $371K.
Together the funds equal 16.09% of perpetual open interest on the coins we track, meaning the money in open leveraged bets. OKX's fund covers 58.69% of its own, Crypto.com's 0.75%. These are balances the venues report, not audits.
Bitcoin on Coinbase traded under the global price again on Oct 11, the 36th day in a row. The Coinbase premium, the gap between the US price and the rest of the market, stood at -0.09%, so American buyers are still bidding less than everyone else.
The broader read is calm. $BTC was at $83000, up 0.24% over 24 hours, with dominance at 59.19% and Fear & Greed at 61, in greed.
Aggressive one sided trading was thin. Order flow toxicity, a gauge of how lopsided incoming orders are, read 0.12, the 19th percentile of the last 90 days. Of 10 tracked majors, 2 were adding leverage and none were seeing positions squeezed out. Cardano saw the biggest open interest move, down 4.3% with $ADA down 3.5%.
The two biggest Bitcoin options trades of the past 48 hours both reached out to June 2027. One buyer paid $900.1K for $90,000 calls on the Jun 25, 2027 expiry, and another paid $788.6K for $80,000 puts on the same date. Both went through as block trades, negotiated off the order book.
Over the last 24 hours, buyers spent $580.4K on calls and $458.3K on puts across 6,610 recorded trades. Block trades made up 21% of all premium dollars.
The third largest trade sat much closer in time, a $508.3K block buy of $84,000 puts expiring Oct 30.
Tron has the deepest negative funding on the board as of Oct 11. Funding is the fee one side pays the other to keep a position open, and at -0.03% traders betting against $TRX are the ones paying longs.
Open interest in $TRX is up 1.36% over 24 hours, meaning more contracts are open in total, on both sides, at that cost.
$ETH leans the same way at -0.01%, with its open interest down 0.84%. On the other end, the highest positive rates are only 0.01%, on DOT and INJ, so holding a long costs little anywhere.
Since 2019, days in this very low band saw a median +1.2% BTC move over the next 7d (n=514, base +0.4%, 7y of records). History, not a forecast.
A 36th straight day of Bitcoin trading cheaper on Coinbase than on global exchanges. US buyers are paying less than the rest of the world, and that gap reads -0.093% on the Coinbase premium, which measures the US price against the global one.
The reading sits deeper than its 7 day average of -0.056%, so the discount is wider than it has been on a typical day this past week.
The premium measures where US demand prices Bitcoin relative to other venues. It does not show direction on its own; a discount can persist through both rising and falling markets.
Today $BTC 's premium is -0.093%, meaning US buyers are bidding below the global price, with a 36 day same sign streak. The 7 day average is -0.056%, and the annualized quarterly carry is +4.98%.
Since 2017, days in this very low band saw a median +0.1% BTC move over the next 7d (n=666, base +0.5%, 9y of records). History, not a forecast.

GM Trade holds the most open positions across Solana's perpetual venues, with 41.6% of the $245.9M in total open interest on Oct 10. Daily volume across the six venues came to $224.8M.
Pacifica follows with 26.7%, then Jupiter Perps with 19.6% and Phoenix with 11.1%. Bullet holds 0.9% and Velocity 0.0%. Pacifica did $127.6M of that volume on its own, while GM Trade turned over $10.5M.
The largest single market is SOL on Jupiter Perps at $33.0M. On that venue longs carry $77.6M against $18.7M of shorts, so most of its book is on one side. Two of GM Trade's biggest markets are currency pairs, USDCAD and USDCHF, not coins.
On Jupiter, the Solana based perps venue, traders hold four dollars of long bets for roughly every one dollar short. Longs carry $77.7M against $18.7M in shorts across SOL, ETH and BTC as of Oct 10, an 80.6% long share.
Solana is where most of that sits, with $53.7M long and $12.4M short. The busiest side is SOL shorts, using 61.1% of the pool's available capacity, yet borrowing for an hour still costs close to nothing.
The JLP pool, which takes the other side of these trades, holds $899.2M and pays an 8% APR to its depositors.
Short sellers took twice the damage of longs on Oct 10. Of $63.0M in recorded liquidations over 24 hours, $42.5M came from leveraged shorts forced out, against $20.5M from longs, across 47,291 events. $STRK led at $7.8M, and the largest single liquidation was $793.2K on $ETH .
Positioning barely moved. Perp open interest across 27 venues was $74.03B, up 0.29% on the day, with decentralized venues holding 15.49%. The top Hyperliquid whales leaned short, with 42.5% of notional long across 285 accounts.

DEX trading in tokenized stocks came to $92.3M in the 24 hours to Oct 10, a -57.48% change on the prior day. These tokens each track one listed share, held by a custodian and traded onchain around the clock.
The tokens held onchain are worth $3.47B at the share price, +0.97% since the last recorded day. Ondo Stocks is the largest issuer at $1.05B.
The real share market is closed, so there is no fresh reference price to measure whether the tokens trade above or below the shares they track.
