Ledger Chief Technology Officer Charles Guillemet said a smart contract security firm recently claimed to have found a vulnerability in Ledger's Ethereum app. According to Odaily, the issue was related to parts of the app's Clear Signing process, but Ledger's security research team Donjon discovered it using an AI-driven vulnerability research tool and completed the fix and deployment two weeks ago. Guillemet said the security firm contacted Ledger's bug bounty program only after the fix was deployed, did not follow responsible disclosure procedures, did not communicate with the bug bounty team, and later suggested the issue remained unresolved. He said users should update Ledger device firmware, the Ledger app, and related software to receive the latest security fixes.
