According to Sina Finance, the products affected are Chefs Kitchen Fresh Salsa and Ready Meals Fresh Salsa, and consumers who bought them should stop eating them immediately and dispose of them safely or return them to any Jewel-Osco store for a full refund. The jalapeños used in the products were supplied by Direct Roots, a distributor for Taylor Farms, and the recall was triggered by a supply-chain contamination incident involving Coast Citrus Distributors that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is handling.
