According to Israeli sources on August 8, U.S. Central Command Chief Brad Cooper arrived in Israel for a short visit and met senior Israel Defense Forces officials to discuss the "multi-front situation."

According to Sina Finance, Israeli sources said Cooper met IDF Chief of Staff Zamir and other senior commanders during the visit, reviewed the "multi-front situation," and discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip. They said the U.S. continues to keep a high state of readiness across the Middle East, including Israel, with dozens of U.S. aerial refueling aircraft, fighter jets, air defense systems, and thousands of U.S. troops still stationed in Israel. Israeli sources added that Cooper arrived after visits to Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian and U.S. Vice President Vance had previously issued statements on the possibility of a new ceasefire agreement, while the United States has recently urged Israel to advance Washington's proposed 20-point plan for a Gaza ceasefire and postwar arrangements.
