According to CNBC, JPMorgan updated its monthly list of top stock ideas for August, left the overall roster unchanged, and removed Cheniere Energy and Targa Resources from its recommendations. The bank highlighted Walmart as a growth-oriented consumer stock and Eli Lilly as another pick, while noting that Walmart shares have fallen 16% over the past three months after the retailer issued a weaker-than-expected fiscal-year outlook in May. JPMorgan also pointed to Eli Lilly's strong first-quarter results and Goldman Sachs' view that Lilly shares have rallied 39% since the company's 1Q26 print, with investors focused on the drugmaker's next-quarter earnings on Aug. 5.
