According to Yonhap, Hyundai Motor Co. said its global sales fell 5.1% from a year earlier in July to 318,454 vehicles, as partial strikes disrupted production and demand softened. Overseas sales declined 3.2% to 270,341 units, while domestic sales dropped 14.4% to 48,113 units. The result marked Hyundai Motor's 10th straight month of declining global sales. The automaker said partial labor strikes in July and customers postponing purchases before new model launches weighed on performance, and it expects sales to recover in the second half of the year with new vehicles including the Avante compact.
