According to Yonhap, Samsung Heavy Industries Co. said Monday it secured a 268 billion-won ($187.7 million) contract to build two oil tankers for an undisclosed European client and plans to deliver the vessels by August 2029. The shipbuilder said the latest deal lifted its year-to-date commercial vessel orders to $5.8 billion across 34 ships, already above its annual target of $5.7 billion. Including two floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) production, storage and offloading facilities, Samsung Heavy's cumulative orders for the year have reached $10.2 billion, or 73 percent of its full-year target.
