Been watching @BabylonLabs_io for a while, and TBV is one of those things that makes more sense the longer you sit with it.

What stood out to me wasn’t the big promise. It was the quiet detail: the BTC never really leaves Bitcoin. That changes the whole mood of the setup. No wrapped version. No bridge-like trust leap. Just native BTC locked in a way that feels much closer to how Bitcoin is supposed to be used.

The part most people miss is how little the system asks you to trust a single middle layer. The operators still matter, obviously, but they are not holding the coins. They help the flow, not the custody. That distinction sounds small until you’ve spent enough time around crypto to know how often those two get blurred.

TBV feels like it was built by people who actually care about what happens under the hood, not just the story on top. That is probably why it feels so different.
