Shenzhen's cross-border RMB settlement reached 3.8 trillion yuan in the first half of 2026, up 37.9% year on year, and remained third in China by scale. According to Jin10, at a first-half 2026 news briefing held by the Shenzhen branch of the People's Bank of China and the Shenzhen office of China's State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), Shenzhen's cross-border RMB receipts and payments for goods trade totaled 836.4 billion yuan in the first half, up 50.2% year on year, accounting for 31% of foreign and domestic currency receipts and payments, nearly 5 percentage points higher than a year earlier.
