Messi Opens Up on Ronaldo Relationship

Lionel Messi says there's mutual respect but no friendship with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speaking to DSsports, he said: “We’re not friends, we don’t hang out — but I admire him and respect his career. He’s still performing at a top level.”

Messi also said the competition between them “was always on the pitch, nothing more.” Their rivalry, born in La Liga, remains one of football’s most iconic storylines.
