According to BlockBeats, public companies have surpassed Bitcoin ETFs in terms of Bitcoin acquisitions for the third consecutive quarter. Data from Bitcoin Treasuries indicates that in the second quarter of 2025, public companies purchased approximately 131,000 Bitcoins, marking an 18% increase in their Bitcoin holdings. In contrast, Bitcoin ETFs saw an 8% growth, acquiring around 111,000 Bitcoins during the same period.
Despite this trend, Bitcoin ETFs remain the largest holders of Bitcoin, with a total of over 1.4 million Bitcoins, representing about 6.8% of the fixed supply limit of 21 million. Public companies collectively hold approximately 855,000 Bitcoins, accounting for roughly 4% of the total supply.
