This is often considered the most dramatic crash in terms of percentage drop. 2. 2013 Crashes April 2013: Mt. Gox meltdown (due to DDoS) — price dropped ~43%. December 2013: China’s crackdown caused a ~40% drop. 3. 2017–2018 Crash (“Crypto Winter”) BTC peaked around end-2017 (~$19,000), then crashed ~84% by end-2018. 4. Black Thursday (March 2020) During the COVID-19 panic, BTC fell about 50% in a very short time. 5. Recent Liquidation Crash (Oct 10, 2025) More than $19 billion in leveraged crypto positions were liquidated in a single day. BTC dropped ~14% in that crash. $BTC
