Their is something missing from the crypto market In previous bull markets, by now Altcoins have had significant gains, the only altcoins to have significant gains in crypto are the ones people have taken loans via treasury companies or used their own treasury to buy the market. I believe what is happening is a significant shift in how retail is trading, no longer do the majority buy and hold, the majority are chasing losses using futures. Because of this market makers and insiders are able to periodically rob these people of all their money due to their propensity to over leverage and blow their accounts. these people who use futures forget if you use one dollar to buy five assets for one dollar then a 20% move can wipe them out. This means that cash isn't piling up in liquidity pools like in previous cycles, instead the cash is pooling up in the pockets of those that fund and own derivatives platforms. This is why you see such a push from wealthy respected people in crypto towards decentralized derivative trading, they want a slice of the pie because habits are changing The question is can retail unlearn short term gambling for a long term payday in the altcoin market. I don't think this bull market is over for one second however i believe we only get a true altcoin season when more money starts piling up in liquidity. If i could suggest you any trading strategy for your long term portfolio its stop chasing your losses and start putting all new investment capital into just one coin, just pick one and go all in, support it like no tomorrow and you are much more likely to make a significant return over time.
