CHINESE LINKLOGIS INKS DEAL WITH XRP LEDGER $XRP China’s LinkLogis has a deal with the XRP Ledger to launch its digital supply chain finance application on the public blockchain and drive the commercial adoption of the LinkLogis solution. This deal is notable because LinkLogis operates from China, where authorities discourage public blockchain use. While LinkLogis processes large volumes in trade finance, only a small proportion (2.5%) is cross border, which is likely the focus of the deal. The listed company has several prominent backers, detailed below. It also has experience with experiments involving stablecoins and traditional finance, which it is now rolling out. $XRP Its cross border solution processed RMB 4.8 billion ($670 million) in trade finance transactions during the first six months of 2025, but this volume is unlikely to migrate en masse to the XRP Ledger. Supply chain finance involves the granting of credit to suppliers based on a large buyer approving the invoices. For example, if a company manufactures steering wheels which it sells to a large auto manufacturer (the Anchor in the financing), the car company would confirm the invoice on the platform. The bank provides instant payment to the supplier less any deductions for financing. LinkLogis provides the platform that enables the processing of the invoices and credit. $XRP Funding usually comes from banks, but it’s also possible to create asset-backed securities (ABS), where the backing is a pool of unpaid invoices. So instead of banks paying the supplier, the funds come from the proceeds of selling the ABS. In its announcement, LinkLogis mentioned exploring the trading of supply chain finance real world assets (RWA). The company also has a joint venture with Standard Chartered, Olea, which targets cross border trade finance and landed a capital markets license in order to enable blockchain-based tokenization of assets. However, Olea is a separate entity, not mentioned as part of the XRP Ledger deal. #Write2Earn
