Launched in 2020, it powers the MANTRA Chain (an EVM-compatible Cosmos SDK-based layer-1 blockchain) and supports staking, governance, and RWA tokenization. OM has a total supply of about 888 million tokens, with ongoing burns and unlocks influencing its circulating supply. Recent Price Performance and History As of October 3, 2025, OM is trading at approximately $0.171, down 1.57% in the last 24 hours, underperforming the broader crypto market which is up 1.56%. This comes amid daily token unlocks starting October 1, releasing 485,417 OM tokens (worth ~$80K) each day until October 8, which could add sell pressure. OM has experienced extreme volatility in 2025: Early 2025 Surge and Crash: Peaked at nearly $8.50 in February, then plunged 95% overnight to $0.59 by mid-March due to market panic and liquidation cascades. April Meltdown: Another 90-94% drop from $6.30 to $0.38, rebounding slightly to $0.58–$0.73 amid recovery promises from the team.
