🚨 Trump Targets Tylenol With Autism Claims — Global Pushback
After announcing 100% tariffs on imported branded pharmaceuticals, President Donald Trump once again raised doubts about Tylenol (acetaminophen), suggesting a link to autism. (See attached image of Trump’s post for reference)
Global health leaders quickly rejected his remarks:
👉 Wes Streeting (UK Health Secretary): “Don’t pay any attention whatsoever to what Donald Trump says about medicine.”
👉 Mónica García Gómez (Spain’s Health Minister): Called the comments “denialism” that destroys trust in science and puts lives at risk.
👉 WHO spokesperson Tarik Jašarević: “Some observational studies suggested a possible association between prenatal acetaminophen use and autism, but the evidence is inconsistent. Later studies found no such link. This lack of replicability calls for caution before drawing conclusions.”
🔬 Bottom line: The scientific consensus does not support Trump’s claim. Health experts stress — trust science and your doctors, not political statements.
