I know eventually people will be able to buy subnets without the need for $TAO But I personally hope it never happens $TAO should be kept as the central unit of value and remain as the on/off ramp for alphas Removing that turns #Bittensor into just another fractured multichain marketplace with no cohesive economy or base layer incentive loop People will argue it's more important to increase access.. I would argue it isn't if it comes at the cost of eroding the very foundation that gives $TAO its utility and value $TAO

Most people still price #Bittensor subnets like they’re just another #crypto token But that's the wrong way to look at them.. Subnets are essentially early stage AI startups Real users.. real demand.. real utility.. live products.. No permission.. No VCs That's why the better comparison is global AI products built by the largest and "hottest" companies in the world When you realize some of these subnets are doing what traditional $1B+ VC backed companies do, but globally and on chain.. You start to see the ceiling is a lot higher than most think The upside isn’t capped by #crypto because what's being built is meant to compete at the enterprise scale $TAO
