There is a new proposal in the @Optimism governance regarding an experiment for selecting the Milestones & Metrics council.

We were asked to ratify a set of criteria, decided by the foundation, which would specify who is eligible for the council.

If passed the foundation would randomly choose people matching this criteria, without any further elections or token holders involvement.

I am voting against this experiment because to my understanding this is moving even more power away from the token holders to the foundation. And I think Optimism could do with a move towards the opposite direction.
