A lot of us don't realize how much we take internet access for granted.

Over 2.6 billion people are still offline in the world. Not sure cause they want to but because of cost, censorship, or lack of infrastructure.

A Web3 company that stands out to me for this reason is @_spacecoin.

They’re building a decentralized satellite network. Yes, actual satellites to deliver open, affordable internet to the people who need it most.

Their first satellite launched on a Falcon 9 late last year, and a full constellation is coming this fall (It’s part of a growing DePIN movement).

Real-world systems powered by crypto, not just protocols on paper (pretty cool imo)

Things I like:

- It’s real (hardware in orbit)

- It tackles a global problem

- It aligns with crypto’s core values

If you’re into decentralization, DePIN, or just want to see crypto actually help people, this is worth checking out.

Also something to recommend:

They’re starting to roll out some community stuff that looks fun in their telegram (Even an airdrop is hinted at 👀)
