According to Odaily, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) crypto special team recently held discussions with representatives from CoinShares International Limited and their legal advisors, Chapman & Cutler LLP. The meeting focused on the regulatory challenges associated with launching crypto asset exchange-traded products (ETPs) in the United States.

Key topics addressed during the meeting included the integration of staking mechanisms within ETP structures, the appropriate standards for reviewing rule change applications for new digital asset ETPs, issues related to crypto asset custody, comparisons between physical and cash redemption mechanisms, and the feasibility of registered investment companies investing in digital asset ETPs.

CoinShares also shared insights into its European crypto asset ETP operations, where the company manages over $6 billion in assets. They offer 20 publicly listed ETP products covering 13 digital assets and three digital asset indices.
