The famous crypto exchange BitMEX Today blocked a cyberattack by #Lazarus Group — a hacker group linked to North Korea! 😳
These hackers used a fake #NFT partnership offer on LinkedIn to target BitMEX employees.
But guess what?
BitMEX’s security team saw through the trap and caught them red-handed!
The hackers used a shady GitHub link with hidden code to steal data — but it failed.
Even worse for them, BitMEX tracked the hackers to a Chinese IP address connected to previous attacks!
