According to Foresight News, a study conducted by José Simeón Cañas Central American University reveals that in 2023, 12% of El Salvador's local population has used Bitcoin at least once to pay for goods and services. This is a significant decrease compared to 2022, when 24.4% of the population used the cryptocurrency. Among those who used Bitcoin for transactions, nearly half (49.7%) only used the digital asset for one to three purchases. On the other hand, 20% of respondents used Bitcoin for 10 or more transactions.
