Binance.US confirmed today that its founder, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), has resigned as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The announcement was made on the evening of November 28, 2023.

In a public statement, Binance.US emphasized its commitment to adhere to all applicable U.S. laws and regulations. The company assured its clientele that it operates independently of its global counterpart, Binance.com, even though they share a brand name and technological infrastructure.

Binance.US also clarified that it is not implicated in the settlement announced last week and holds no outstanding enforcement matters with U.S. regulatory bodies such as the Department of Justice (DOJ), Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), or Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The firm underlined its commitment to continued service provision, promising its customers consistent products and services.

Moving forward, Binance.US operations will continue under the leadership of Norman Reed and the existing management team. Despite CZ's change in position, the company remains dedicated to serving U.S. customers in compliance with all relevant local regulations.
