नई दिल्ली: सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बुधवार को क्रिप्टोकरेंसी को लेकर नियामक बनाने की मांग करने वाली याचिका पर विचार करने से इनकार कर दिया। न्यायमूर्ति बीआर गवई और न्यायमूर्ति ऑगस्टीन जॉर्ज मसीह की पीठ ने कहा कि यह फैसला नीति-निर्माताओं के अधिकार क्षेत्र में आता है, न कि न्यायपालिका के।

याचिकाकर्ता के वकील ने तर्क दिया था कि देशभर में क्रिप्टोकरेंसी से जुड़ी कई शिकायतें दर्ज हो रही हैं, इसलिए केंद्र को नियामक व्यवस्था बनाने का निर्देश दिया जाए। अदालत ने जवाब में कहा, "हम कानून नहीं बना सकते। याचिकाकर्ता सरकार के सामने अपनी बात रख सकते हैं।"

पीठ ने यह भी कहा कि याचिका में की गई मांगें विधायिका और कार्यपालिका के दायरे में आती हैं, इसलिए कोर्ट इसमें दखल नहीं देगा। हालांकि, याचिकाकर्ता चाहें तो उचित प्राधिकारी के समक्ष अपना अभ्यावेदन प्रस्तुत कर सकते हैं।
