Some scams in the cryptocurrency circle that I know of
Hello everyone, I am Kimi. Today I will introduce to you some common scams that I know of. I hope that you will avoid pitfalls after reading them
1. Pixiu disk, a token contract that can only be bought but not sold. Since it can only be bought but not sold, the price of its token will continue to rise, which will continue to attract more retail investors to enter. Exist in the primary market. Stay away from the primary market, even if the returns are huge. Scammers often start with the following words [Brother, what coins are you paying attention to recently? ]
2. Scam private key, the scammer asks you to download the latest version of the wallet and attach the download address (the URL is very similar to the official URL). After you use his wallet to enter the private key, your wallet will no longer be under your control.
3. Trojan horse modifies the clipboard. When you copy the transfer wallet, replace it with the scammer's wallet address.
4. Scan the QR code to transfer money and obtain your authorization. Clear the authorization of the wallet regularly.
5. The information that you have received an airdrop appears in the wallet, which is also a scam to authorize you.
6. Clamp robot, in plain words, is to move bricks and arbitrage, make money automatically, and make hundreds of dollars a day. The original source should be a foreigner, who could not post it for free on the video website, explaining how to set it up. Later, other big guys posted a video to analyze the code, which included the scammer's wallet address, and the address was divided into three sections and buried in the rest of the code.
7. Group, chat group/any form of group, it is not that the group is bad, while facilitating communication, but the above 6 points can be spread through the group. The way to avoid it is to refuse all private chats, [Brother, what do you think of the recent market? ] [Brother, have you bought XXX? ] [Brother, what coins are you paying attention to recently? ] . If you have something to communicate in the public channel. If you encounter a problem, ask questions in the group, and be especially wary of those who help you in private chat.
If conditions permit, store the spot in a cold wallet or restore the old mobile phone to factory settings and disconnect from the Internet for a long time to make a cold wallet.
Finally, if you encounter something you don't understand/doubt in the currency circle, don't touch it. Do your own research first (check the information and find the answer yourself).
Finally, the scams I know of are limited, so I’m just throwing out some ideas. You’re welcome to add to them.
