I think Jupiter🪐 is a project that has the potential to become one of the top 10 projects in the crypto market. I will gradually update the relevant content of $JUP to fully present this project with great vision to everyone.

Reject PVP, choose PPP

JUP co-founder Moew published a blog titled "PVP - PPP" today (June 7). In this blog, he created a new word PPP. PPP is the abbreviation of Player Pump Player, which literally means player pumping player in Chinese. I think it may be easier to understand if we call it "players supporting each other".

This is how Moew describes the difference between PPP and PVP:

  • PPP (Player pump player) communities wants the last person in to win

The PPP (Player Pump Player) community wants the last man standing to win

  • PVP (Player vs player) communities wants the last person in to be their exit

The PVP (Player vs. Player) community wants the last person in to be their exit

He believes that one of the most important things in this cycle is to transform cryptocurrency from a PVP to a PPP mindset.

PPP is an infinite game, PVP is a finite-depth game with a clear end point (the last sucker).

But why is PVP so prevalent that most outsiders and even many industry insiders believe that cryptocurrency is essentially a PVP game?

This is because PVP “communities” are extremely easy to form, as all members need to agree on is attracting more people to buy their tokens, which makes them richer.

In contrast, PPP communities are extremely difficult to build – because the core focus of the community cannot be to attract others and hope to abandon them, but to have more allies and work together to build a shared long-term future.

That said, the future of crypto is definitely PPP, because even if 99.999% of new “communities” are PvP, the ones that last and thrive are definitely PPP.
The hallmark of great communities like Bitcoin, ETH, SOP (and hopefully JUP) is that the community is very much aligned in its commitment to helping every new entrant into the network win, rather than viewing them as objects to be harvested.

PPP will ultimately win because:

  • This is the best mentality in crypto — combining a shared vision with the essence of profitability

  • It is neither cynical nor delusional—it is both idealistic and pragmatic

  • This is the only way forward for the crypto space — because no community can survive being eaten from within

What we can do is actively reject the PvP community and invest time, energy, and effort into cultivating real relationships and expertise in the PPP community.

If we all devour each other instead of growing each other, pretty soon there won't be anything left for anyone to eat.

In the crypto industry, as an individual, you can choose which game to play and which community to join without any restrictions.

Jup Phase 1: Product-focused projects

Most of the interaction and focus at this stage is between the platform users and the team.

This needs to be based on Jup.ag's "best prices, best selection, best user experience", and an unremitting commitment to user support and feedback.

Including users of development tools, Jup spends a lot of time making sure those tools work as well as possible.

The highly synergistic relationship and trust that has been built between the team and users over the years is the foundation of all the progress Jup has made, making Jup one of the best products in Defi (if not the best product).

Current stage: driven by the full-stack ecosystem

We are currently promoting the transformation from a single product to a full-stack ecosystem, with the strategic vision of accelerating the decentralization of the metaverse.
Beyond the launchpad, Jup intends to execute on a full spectrum of ecosystem work that will require a distributed network of people with different skills working in parallel and driving the agenda under a common goal.

What is J.U.P.

Small, talented groups of individuals can accomplish a lot but lack legitimacy and funding, communities provide great energy and vibe but have serious ADHD issues, and DAOs give legitimacy but require a lot of executive buy-in and support structure.

J.U.P is an attempt to present a holistic community that brings together the best parts into a collaborative effort to grow Jupiter and the meta moving forward.

J.U.P has 5 key components with the following aspirations:

1. Users: Our reason for existence

Our beloved users have tirelessly supported Jupiter through endless product iterations and feedback, culminating in the world-class product suite you see today. We hope to grow our user base tenfold while maintaining the same type of synergy and commitment to providing the best-in-class customer service you see today.

2. Team: Hardworking employees

The builders of the Jupiter platform. We work very hard and will continue to work hard. Hehe.

3. Working Group: The execution engine of J.U.P.

Comprised of small groups led by key ecosystem members, leading critically important areas of work such as community management, core processes, and ecosystem ceremonies.

Currently we have two groups, the Core Working Group and the Uplink Working Group - the community can certainly attest to how much energy and work they have already put into the critical LFG process, regular calls, ecosystem token listings, and communicating Jupiter and its goals.

Importantly, the working groups will work closely with the teams and be funded by the DAO. This dynamic ensures that the working groups are both extremely productive and accountable to the community.

4. Catdets: Heart of J.U.P.

Catdets are community members who understand and embrace the long-term vision of advancing the decentralized meta, while maintaining the key community spirit of being helpful, friendly, and supportive, both to new members and projects.

Special thanks to CultureCats, who have been instrumental in promoting Catdets and are the best example of great community leadership I have ever seen!

5. KNIFE

This will take shape over the next week, and I'm super excited. I firmly believe that we have the potential to build the most just, dynamic, proactive, and widely distributed DAO in all of crypto, with the most interesting, awesome mission. Let's see if we can pull it off. ;)

J.U.P: Experiments with distributed execution strategies

Ultimately, like everything Jupiter does, J.U.P is another large-scale experiment in building community. J.U.P emphasizes the potential and capabilities of each of the 5 components and aims to leverage them synergistically.

We are still in the early stages of this experiment, and we hope you will participate in forming a comprehensive and strong community to move Jupiter and the meta forward!
