The number of non-farm payrolls in the United States increased by 187,000 in July, the smallest increase since December 2020. It is estimated to increase by 200,000, compared with the previous increase of 209,000.

The U.S. unemployment rate in July was 3.5%, compared with expectations of 3.60%.
