Sandbox Launches DAO
On Tuesday, June 28, The Sandbox, a decentralized virtual world built on Ethereum, launched its DAO. The Sandbox said in its blog post that each member of the DAO actually becomes a virtual citizen of the new digital country that is being formed and can help propose and vote for projects that will help the development of The Sandbox ecosystem.
Users will reportedly be able to exert influence over game upgrades, events, and other initiatives.
The launch will be launched in three phases, with the ultimate goal of the DAO operating independently in a truly decentralized manner. The community will first vote on Sandbox Improvement Proposals (SIPs) submitted by members via email.
A committee of industry leaders will help facilitate the initial proposal process and gradually transfer more power to DAO members over three phases.
Yuga Labs CEO to undergo 10-day review
Yuga Labs CEO Greg Solano, who announced his return to the company in February, spoke this week with X (formerly Twitter) to share Yuga Labs’ reflections, latest developments, and future plans.
Solano admitted that he’s still looking at the company’s products but was enthusiastic about some specific innovations, mentioning ODK as well as the online game Project Dragon, and he also revealed the Other brand expression on Otherside and the upcoming Dookey Dash tournament.
Additionally, Solano hinted that the much-anticipated 2024 ApeFest will take place this year at a historic monastery, and mentioned that Yuga Labs will be launching some new physical merchandise and merchandise.
Nike and RTFKT to Release Limited Edition Genesis VOID Sneakers
Nike is working with RTFKT, the Metaverse footwear platform it acquired in December 2021, to launch the Genesis VOID Edition on SNKRS on June 13. The VOID colorway will be limited to 1,000 pairs, priced at $222 per pair (tax included).
According to RTFKT, other Dunk colorways will also be coming to SNKRS, so mark your calendars for this exclusive release.
FSL launches STEPN GO
Find Satoshi Lab (FSL) has announced the launch of STEPN GO, the company’s upcoming suite innovation where users can now easily join in with friends by lending their Sneakers NFTs.
The app features customizable avatars and outfits that users can display on an interactive map, and in order to maintain balance, the app requires users to consume sneakers to gain and increase their energy levels.
The app’s upcoming Alpha Draw will reportedly offer the first 6,000 pairs of STEPN GO sneakers to lucky draw winners and enter a testing phase, which can be entered by joining the STEPN GO Discord server:

Cool Cats announces Clontest 2024
Cool Cats has just announced Clontest 2024, the brand’s fourth annual art competition. This year’s competition is open to artists of all mediums and aims to encourage creativity and community engagement. Entries must reference at least four characters from “The Milk Chug” animated series.
Participating artists should follow the rules and submit their work through the link provided on the Cool Cats X page. Cool Cats encourages the use of any character in the work, including Cool Cats, Shadow Wolves and SideKX.
Power of Women Launches Paradise Series
Leah Sams’s clothing line Paradise Collection will be available for pre-sale exclusively on HUG on May 21, and her NFT projects Power of Women and World of Women will be co-hosting a party in London.
The festivities are set to take place on May 30 at London’s Canary Wharf Market Hall, but attendees of Lisbon’s NFC Summit got a sneak peek at the goods during a mainstage panel with HUG founders Randi Zuckerberg and Debbie Soon.

LVCIDIA's Phototool Competition Results Announced
New digital art platform LVCIDIA from 3D artist FVCKRENDER has announced the winners of its Phototool competition.
Ten standout photos, along with one team favorite, will be highlighted on the website’s loading screen along with FVCKRENDER’s artwork.
