US President Joe Biden's election team is looking for a Meme expert in an effort to regain the trust of GenZ voters.

The Biden for President (BFP) campaign recently posted a recruitment news for the position of Partner Manager. Candidates in this position will be expected to undertake tasks related to daily activities of interacting with top content and meme sites on the internet.

According to Indeed, Biden's team will pay its meme expert in Wilmington, Delaware between $65,000 and $85,000 a year, slightly higher than the average salary of a digital marketer in the US.

According to the job description, Biden's Meme specialist's primary duties will be to manage relationships with digital media companies, podcast hosts, and meme pages across multiple social media platforms.

Biden's team has experimented with creating memes before. His previous campaign used a meme of "Dark Brandon" with laser eyes in early 2022 to portray the 81-year-old as internet savvy.

In February, Biden was asked about the Dark Brandon meme by Seth Meyers on his late night show. "I'm very angry about that," he replied, before putting on dark sunglasses.

President Biden once again wore sunglasses and mentioned this character to receive applause from the audience at the annual White House Correspondents Association dinner in April this year.

This move seems to be the latest effort by the oldest President in US history to attract a younger generation of voters.

On the opposite side, former President Trump, famous for using social networks and media to convey messages to users, is also no stranger to images associated with memes.

His photo taken while being detained at the Fulton County Jail, Georgia in August 2023 became viral and received many shares on social networking platforms.

Trump's campaign team took advantage of this opportunity and immediately began selling T-shirts, mugs, and souvenirs featuring the image and released the NFT MugShot collection in December 2023.

In addition, Trump also has other famous memes, such as using symbols like "Make America Great Again" or "Trump Train" to generate support for his campaigns. He also often uses images and short videos to criticize political opponents or criticize the media.

In early May, a token called MAGA increased in price after the former President made comments in favor of cryptocurrency.

After leaving the presidency in January 2021, Trump was banned from many major social media platforms such as X (Twitter), Meta (Facebook) and YouTube, reducing his ability to use memes and online media to interact with voters.
